Eat With Your Treatment

A quantum cupping session opens the flow. What you eat before, during your series, and after decides how much of that opening your body keeps. Food is not separate from the treatment — in our practice, it is the half of the work that happens at your table. This page is our simple guide.

Before your session

The day before: eat normally, warmly, and a little lighter than usual. Drink water through the day — your lymph moves on water. Go easy on alcohol (best skipped entirely), very salty food, and heavy fried meals: all three ask your body to hold fluid the night before we ask it to release.

The day of: have a light, warm meal one to two hours before your appointment — soup, eggs, cooked vegetables, a little rice. Do not come fasting (your body needs something to work with) and do not come stuffed (a full, heavy stomach pulls energy to digestion, away from the work). Keep sipping water right up to your session.

During your series

Between sessions is where results are built. The cup opens; your daily plate keeps it open.

  • Protein at every meal — fish, eggs, poultry, lentils, beans. Repair and hormone building blocks; women in perimenopause and menopause feel the difference most.
  • Cooked over cold. Warm, cooked food is easier on digestion than raw salads and iced drinks, especially if your belly bloats. Cooked leafy greens and crucifers — broccoli, cabbage, kale — support the liver that clears what the lymph delivers.
  • Warmth and rhythm. Warm water or ginger tea through the day; meals at steady times; dinner lighter and earlier when you can.
  • Give dampness a rest. The foods that make fluid stick: sugar-and-fat together (pastries, ice cream, rich desserts), excess cheese and creamy sauces, alcohol, and heavy fried food. Not forbidden forever — just not the pattern while we are asking your body to drain.

After your session

That evening: think warm and simple — a soup, grilled fish, steamed or roasted vegetables. Keep drinking water into the evening. No alcohol that night: the liver is finishing the work the session started, and alcohol hands it a second job. If you feel a little tired, that is the body processing — eat warm, rest early.

The days after: hold the same gentle pattern for two or three days — protein, cooked greens, water, sleep. This is the window where marks fade fastest and where clients tell us the lightness stays. Track what you notice — digestion, energy, sleep, cravings, mood, puffiness — in our free client journal; the pattern you write down is the progress we read together at your next visit.

The plate, in one look

Best friends of your treatment: water and warm teas · fish and eggs · lentils and beans · cooked greens and crucifers · ginger · soups and stews · steady meal times.

Give a rest, for now: alcohol around sessions · heavy fried food · sugar-and-fat desserts as a daily habit · very salty meals · iced drinks with meals if you bloat easily.
